Happy Anniversary to me!
Jun. 3rd, 2004 05:14 pmYesterday was the 13th anniversary of my marriage. Among other gifts, Wifey gave me:
When I first showed Wifey my Furry homepage, her response could be paraphrased as "A Dog?!? But you act nothing like our new puppy! I married a hyper feline/melancholy donkey--where did this dog come from?" Maybe that's why our marriage is so *normal*; our crazinesses don't mesh.
Some choice quotes from the Furry Logic book:
I brought the plushie into the office and nestled the book in its paws. If a program isn't going well, I can always cuddle my Eeyore and think of Wifey Wuv. *Melts into a stereotypical furry puddle.*
- A 12" Eeyore plushie.
- A book Furry Logic with cute animal pictures and sayings.
- An admission that LJ user
stuffedwithfluf is actually her sock puppet. Better read this fast, folks! This may become a friends-only post after a rolling pin and some dishes go flying past my computer...

Some choice quotes from the Furry Logic book:
- [Beaver] I would be unstoppable, if I could just get started.
- [Penguin] Always remember that you are unique, just like everybody else.
- [Lion] All power corrupts; absolute power is kinda neat.
- [Penguin] The quickest way for a parent to get a child's attention is to sit down and look comfortable.

the only people I had to talk to after a long day at work were cat #1 and cat #2
Now we have kid #1 ("Rroarr!") and kid #2 ("I'm a monkey, feed me a banana!") and «kid» #3 ("Bow wow! Arf! Arf! Arf!").
Are you familiar with Barry Manilow's "Weekend in New England"
But of course! As you may recall, I made a tape about 25 years ago that had that song on it, along with Safam's Leaving Mother Russia. Leaving New England was great for my allergies, but I'm starting to think that we've been living in the Mid-Atlantic region too long now. Time to flee the sniffles again!
It ran through my head a lot during our courtship
Which one? Courtship #1, #2, or #3?
I thought of that song several times yesterday.
"I feel the change comin', I feel the wind blow... earth ain't so bad"
Careful! The sappiness level of this post is already red-lining!
I guess the cast iron skillet will be staying in the cupboard for awhile.
Latkes for Hanukkah?
