Two online polls: Globe and Mail, apparently within the last week.

Who would you like to see win the Democratic party nomination? link
Clinton323
Obama241

Who do you think will make the best U.S. President? link
Clinton20
Obama23
McCain15
So, Canadians want Clinton to win, even though they think Obama would be the best president.  (One of these polls has 14 times as many respondants as the other!  Neither has enough votes to be statistically valid.  Online polls suffer from self-selection bias and are susceptible to freeping by partisans.  Results may vary; ask your doctor; this post is not legal advice; Go Team!)

I want Hillary to win the Democratic nomination, although I think McCain would make a better president. The two aren't contradictory.

Add the McCain voters to the Clinton voter in the second poll, and you get a ratio not too different to the Clinton/Obama ratio in the first poll. The two polls are consistent. Clinton and McCain aren't that far apart - they can draw one another's voters. I strongly suspect that if Obama is nominated, McCain will get half or more of Clinton's supporters.

Heh, never mind most Canadians (ie all of them that don't also hold US citizenship) get to sit this one out. Those numbers are about as meaningful as asking Americans who they think should be the next PM.
