Saturday Five Thingy
Jun. 5th, 2004 11:26 am1. What are you supposed to be doing right now?
I should be working on a Free Software donation that's almost ready for release. I feel like I need to do complete branch tests on my programs before I can release them to the public under my RL name, but writing the tests is horribly boring. There's been little progress for weeks. Every time I sit down to do some work on it, I start reading LJ instead. This is getting to be a habit. But I'll work on the tests after posting this entry--really I will!
It would be easier to work on the program if I thought it had a chance at being popular. But this third program will probably never beat donation #1, which has maybe 100 users around the world. Hopefully it will do better than donation #2, which is apparently not used by anyone--less than a dozen people have ever downloaded it, although over 1000 have read its description.
2. Last sentence in your obituary?
He is survived by his wife, daughter, son, and dog.
3. Have you a car? What kind?
2002 Chrysler Voyager. First car I ever bought new, and only because my brother-in-law works for Daimler and got me a "Friends&Family" discount.
4. Yellow gold, silver or platinum, or other?
I'm not sure what this question is supposed to mean. When I'm pontificating about something or other, and need to use a precious metal as an example of something, I usually pick platinum.
5. Did you suck your thumb? If so, what age did you stop? How did you finally cut the cord?
Yes. Somewhere around 10 or 11, I think. I just stopped, although I think there was a recidivist episode a year or so later. So I'm an overgrown orally-fixated baby--you got a problem with that?

Date: 2004-06-05 11:26 am (UTC)Well, yes, but I have no idea what an obituary 20 years from now might say. I was imagining the obit in the case where I get run over by an ice cream truck tomorrow.
