For those of you who haven't seen this one yet on your friends list: you're supposed to post an anonymous comment here giving a hint as to your identity, then you collapse in fits of hysterical laughter as I am unable to figure out who you are despite the perfectly-reasonable hint(s) in your comment.  It's great fun!  Or something.

Be sure to click on the "From: Anonymous" button when posting!  Screening of anonymous comments is turned off for this post, as is the logging of IP addresses (the IP number-quad is as good as a name for many of you).  Don't make the same stupid mistake I made twice: since you're posting as "anonymous", LiveJournal will *not* send you email notifications about comment-replies—you have to click back to this entry on your own.

I have work to do at my dayjob, so at times there might be a bit of a pause before I can reply to comments here.

There are several furs on my friends list who use the phrase "whistles innocently".  The use of [bracketed pronoun substitutions] is somewhat rarer.  avenginglioness suggests in another post that *sits on your face* was her work, but what do you mean by "the two comments are by two different people"?  *Which* two comments?

"Here" is wherever you are, while "there" is where you are not (often assumed by conversational implicature to be where your interlocutor is).  So if you are "neither here nor there" then you are not where I am (obvious) and also you are not where you are (absurd without a metaphysical context).

Looking over my friends list, the likely candidates for such a hint are either furs who just never comment on my journal, or shun_ri.  Are you she?
