Ankle photos

Inner side of my right ankle. Not much to see here except there's a black-and-blue mark below the ankle. The white stuff on my sole is leftover material from the second (post-surgical) cast.
Outer side of right ankle. Another black-and-blue mark, plus a general yellowish tinge of the foot indicating that previous bruising has been cleared up. The redness going halfway up the shin is probably from having been enclosed in a cast for three weeks. The gauze strip is covering the area of the surgical entry. The angle of this picture makes me look emaciated; I never go to the gym, but I am not really as thin as this photo suggests.
Close-up of surgical entry. There were many staples, each of which hurt during removal. The dots on the gauze suggest that several of the staple holes bled a little.
So far, so good.  No post-surgical infection. I received an Air Cast ($185, not covered by OHIP) and was told to continue not putting any weight on the ankle. They said to come back in another three weeks for an X-ray. It could be up to *another* three weeks after that before I can walk again and (some people on the Internet say) I could be limping for many months.
