Review of iPhone
Jul. 23rd, 2007 11:57 amHere. (NSFW!) Okay, I'm convinced. If I wanted a cell-phone PDA, I would *so* buy the cat's-meow Nokia E70 instead of the piece-of-shit iPod iPhone. But I'm moving to Waterloo Ont., home office of RIM, makers of the world-famous BlackBerry (a.k.a "Crackberry"), so maybe I should put off this purchasing decision until I can get more data. So far it seems the majority of K-W people I've talked to have Treos rather than the locally-designed BlackBerry, which seems a little odd. I would never buy a Treo because the people who make it are terrible businessmen (Handspring never earned a dime during its entire existence because they spent more per unit on advertising than the friggin' *retail price*).
Still, "Rebooting a remote web-server via an ssh pipe" does sound like exactly the sort of thing I would want my phone to do. Fold-out full keyboard, baby! And only $360!
But why doesn't Maddox have an RSS feed for his blog?
