I love the Internet!
Nov. 4th, 2009 09:26 pmSo I was reading my LJ ƒuriends list, ya dig, and I came across yet another self-congratulatory post from Wil Wheaton. 'Cept this time he had a good reason to pat himself on the back. Wil announced today that it was he who had voiced all the Romulans in Star Trek: the Reboot! He announced this today because "some meddling kids and their dog at Viacom said we had to give me credit".
So I went to Wikipedia to find out if this was actually "old news". And thar she blows, at the end of Wil's Filmography: a credit for "Star Trek (film) (2009) (voices various Romulans)[31]", where footnote [31] is a link to the blogpost I was just reading! Page history says the footnote was put in an hour ago, in response to a complaint that the credit was unsourced.
We're living on Internet time, folks!
Apparently the DVD goes on sale November 17th, so it might show up at my local library a month or two later. I generally don't sit through movies (they take too long to watch and I'd rather program computers) but maybe I should make an exception for this one...
